What’s the game?

The inaugural Perry Cup ‘25 is a one day, 5-a-side charity football tournament that celebrates football, culture and community.

The tournament will feature a group stage and finals series under lights, with over $2000 in prizes up for grabs. The day will be boosted by food trucks, live DJ sets and giveaways, providing family-friendly entertainment and hyped sideline vibes for everyone to enjoy.

For our first year we have partnered with the Brisbane Zero Campaign to end homelessness, with all profits to be donated to the initiative.

Who’s on our side?

Founded by Dom Bird and a group of mates who’ve been playing at the Perry Park courts since they opened in 2019, the Perry Cup is backed by football-loving locals, businesses, and community organisations who believe in using the game as a force for good.

Football, and Perry Park, have given a lot to us. We believe the beautiful game has a great deal more to offer.

Who can play?

Anyone! All you need is a team and a good attitude.

  • Teams must have 5 players minimum (on the pitch) and can register up to 10 players.

  • 8 players is the sweet spot for subs and rotation.

  • The format is mixed-gender. Each team must field at least one female-identifying or non-binary player at all times (and have at least two registered overall).

  • Games run throughout the day with breaks. If you reach the finals, you’ll need to stick around, otherwise, feel free to come and go between matches.
